Welcome to SOU Rowing!
We are going on our 9th year of being a program at Southern Oregon. SOU rowing is still pushing through the recovering years after the pandemic stunted our program attendance and leadership. Being a former gold medalist of the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association at Sacramento in 2019 for the Women's double and silver medalists in the American National championships in Atlanta, Georgia in 2017 SOU has qualified for nationals three times and went twice. As we rebuild this club, our goal is to create a community where those who want to learn about rowing and those who want to continue rowing can join each other in a boat and row as one. We aim to bring in everyone ranging in experience and teach them the sport of rowing. We are a student-run club that collaborates with Rogue Rowing to teach Novices from the ground up. We make room for those who only aim to learn about rowing to those who want to race collegiately. SOU Rowing participates in two regattas located in Eugene, OR. and Sacramento CA. in the spring term. We give our athletes the choice of racing or not and look forward to receiving students of any experience. Anyone and everyone is welcome! |
